Additional Restrictions Due To The Rising Cases Of COVID-19

AMITE—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller reminds the public that Governor John Bel Edwards will issue an order that becomes effective Monday, July 13, calling for additional restrictions due to the rising cases of COVID-19 across the state.
Miller said three key changes that will go into effect on Monday, July 13, and continue through Friday, July 24, include:
- A statewide mandate requiring anyone age 8 or older to wear a mask in public
- Restrictions on bars, which will not be allowed to serve on premises
- Limitations on the number of attendees at an indoor gathering (such as a party or shower). Those gatherings will be limited at 50 attendees indoors.
