Are You Ready To Volunteer?

Are you ready to volunteer? Tangipahoa Parish Government has launched a new and exciting way to train and recruit volunteers.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training offered in the online course and during a CERT exercise, members can assist their community or workplace following an emergency event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

The course is FREE!!! You can take this training at your own pace. This free training includes an online lecture portion and is to be followed up by an in-person, hands-on, practical portion.

Click HERE to register. Once you have registered, an online link will be emailed to you.
