Keep Tangipahoa Beautiful is excited to announce it has received a Cleanup Supplies Grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful to help with litter prevention and beautification efforts in Tangipahoa Parish.

Christmas Tree Recycling for 2019

You may drop off your Christmas trees for recycling at the following locations in Tangipahoa Parish:


Hammond Maintenance Facility
18104 Hwy. 190, Hammond, LA (next to Piggly Wiggly Super Market)

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday-Friday
Starting December 26 through the end of January


Southeastern Sustainability Center
2101 North Oak Street, Hammond, LA

Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday-Thursday and 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM on Friday
Starting January 5 through the end of January


Middendorf's Restaurant in Manchac
30160 U.S. 51, Akers, LA 70421
Trees can be dropped off at Middendorf's anytime at the trailer outside, but to be entered into the $50 Christmas tree dropoff raffle trees must be dropped off during their normal business hours - 10:30AM - 9:00PM, Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesday).


IMPORTANT - Please make sure your tree is not flocked and is free of any lights, ornaments, metal stands, or other un-natural materials. 

Donated trees will be used to help build up marshland in areas that have been impacted by erosion and other factors.

AMITE---Tangipahoa Parish Government's Litter Abatement program will hold its final recycling event for 2018 this Saturday, Dec. 8, for residents to drop off their recycling materials in Roseland and Hammond.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the recycling program is open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the TPG public works offices on US 51 in Roseland and on W. Pleasant Ridge Road in Hammond.
