Club Deluxe Rd Closure - Detours And Other Information

HAMMOND—The western side of Club Deluxe Road will be closed from Buzzetta Lane to Jackson and Yellow Water Roads starting Monday, June 17, and continuing through June 24, as crews complete drainage work in that area.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said all vehicular and pedestrian traffic in this area will be prohibited during this construction period.

Miller reminds motorists that there are several detours available to bypass the construction zone, including:

• Residences and businesses up to Buzzetta Lane can be accessed from US 51-Morrison Boulevard. 
• Access to residences and businesses up to Jackson/Yellow Water Roads will be available via SW Railroad Avenue.

Motorists can also travel Yellow Water Road to East I-55 Service Road to bypass the area.

All work is weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, Parish Government will notify the public in the event work needs to be rescheduled or if the closure is extended, Miller said.

“We appreciate the public’s patience as we make these improvements to widen Club Deluxe Road,” Miller said. He encouraged motorists to exercise caution traveling through work zones and to be on the lookout for construction workers and their equipment. He said residents in the area should also exercise caution driving, walking, or biking near this work zone.
