WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of excessive rainfall

WHEN: Threat will exist mainly through the daylight and early evening hours today

WHERE: Counties and parishes near the coast of SE Mississippi and SE Louisiana CONFIDENCE: We are confident that thunderstorms will occur through the day and that some of the storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall. We have less confidence in areawide rain totals and where the highest rates will be located.

Impacts:

• Hourly rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches possible

• Total rainfall amounts could exceed 4 inches in isolated locations

• Flash flooding will be possible
