The forecast track has shifted slightly west from the previous advisory

The forecast intensity has increased from the previous advisory (no change concerning landfall intensity)

The probability of at least tropical storm force winds affecting locations in Southeast LA and Southern MS has increased.

If the current forecast holds, we remain confident that moderate to significant impacts will be experienced across portions of SE LA and S MS

There continues to be some uncertainty in the track but more so the intensity forecast. Confidence is increasing in the track forecast. At some point, the system is expected to turn more northward and depending on when and where that occurs the expected impacts could still change significantly
