Now accepting comments on Metropolitan Transportation Plan

The Regional Planning Commission for Tangipahoa Parish is accepting public comments on the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for the projected urbanized area throughout Tangipahoa Parish. This is a drafted plan proposing goals and objectives to address transportation needs over the next 25 years of future growth for our parish. The plan provides a blueprint of strategies designed to achieve a safer, more livable community concerning transportation.

Comments will be taken until January 2, 2019. Please feel free to contact the either the Parish’s Community Development Director, Bridget Bailey at bbailey@tangipahoa.org or at (985) 340-9028 or the Regional Planning Commission’s Transportation Planner, Tom Haysley at thaysley@norpc.org or at (504) 483-8510 with any comments or input regarding the proposed plan.
