AMITE—The Tangipahoa Parish Landfill will close at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 28, as the parish braces for effects from Hurricane Zeta later today.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said operations at the landfill will resume once the storm has passed.

Miller encouraged residents to stay tuned to local media and the TPG website, www.Tangipahoa.org, as well as the parish’s social media channels for weather-related updates.
