AMITE—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller has been elected to serve on the Police Jury Association of Louisiana’s Executive Board for Region 6.

The Region 6 delegate represents nine parishes, including Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Washington, and West Feliciana.

Established in 1924, the Police Jury Association of Louisiana was created to improve parish government in the State of Louisiana. Membership is open to each of the state’s 64 parishes regardless of their preferred form of government. 

Miller was sworn in to his new post on Feb. 14 during the state Police Jury Convention which was held in Shreveport.

In addition to his role on the Police Jury Association Executive Board, Miller serves as President of the Parish Presidents Association of Louisiana and secretary of the New Orleans Regional Planning Commission. He is a former Chairman of the NORPC (2018), and he served as Vice Chairman of the Louisiana Board of Commerce and Industry in 2019.
