Public Notice Of Federal Transit Funding 1/28/2021

Tangipahoa Parish has applied for the 2020 FTA (#5307) urbanized area transit funding in the amount of up to $ 839,950.00, and is providing this notice to the public and soliciting any public input, questions, or comments. The funding can generally be used towards the following types of public transit activities, with percentage of local matching funds for each category shown:

Transit operating expenses--requires a 50% local match; vehicles purchased for the purpose of complying with American Disabilities Act (ADA)--requires a 15% local match; vehiclerelated equipment attributed to ADA compliance--requires a 10% local match. All other associated transit improvements such as bus shelters and benches, sidewalk ADA access to transit locations, etc.--requires a 20% local match.
