Public Notice Of Tangipahoa Parish Hazard Mitigation Program Stormwater Planning, Public Input Meeting
Tangipahoa Parish Government will hold a public meeting on August 15, 2019 at 6PM related to setting priorities for Tangipahoa Parish regarding stormwater and flood related issues of concern such as regulations, and proposed projects. The public is invited to attend and will be provided information gathered by the Parish’s Stormwater Prevention Committee. The purpose of this meeting is to obtain public concerns, comments, and input on local flooding problems, while allowing the Parish to share information on flood prevention projects with residents. The Parish will use any information gathered during this meeting and public input request to prioritize flood related projects for the update of the Parish’s 5-year Hazard Mitigation Plan. Note that this meeting does not relate to the home elevation program.
The meeting will be held at 6 PM on August 15, 2019 in the Council Chambers of the Parish located at 206 E. Mulberry Street in Amite, La. Any questions before that meeting should be addressed to Bridget Bailey, Director of the Tangipahoa Parish Office of Community Development, at (985) 340-9028.
