Road Closure Update August 12, 2020

AMITE—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that a portion of Martin Luther King Drive (formerly known as W. Palmetto Street) in Amite will be closed today (Wed., Aug. 12) for emergency repairs.

Miller said a contractor will be removing trees that are uprooting the roadway. Miller said the portion of the road that will be closed runs from approximately the area by Dirt Cheap and continues to Banks Lane. Residents will need to detour this area from now until approximately 3 p.m.
