AMITE—Heading into the last week of July, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the contractor has completed approximately two-thirds of the work on this year’s overlay project.

Miller said work continues in earnest on the remaining road projects, and he indicated that the parish is very pleased with the progress so far, despite many weather-related delays.

Miller said work is underway now to develop the priority list for next year’s overlay plan.

For the week of July 26, road construction is scheduled as follows across Tangipahoa Parish:

*Asphalt overlay on Buckles Lane, Webster, Michelli, Steptoe, Dykes, and Wilson;

*Asphalt patching on Ruffino and North Cooper;

*Milling on Ruffino and North Cooper;

*Shoulder work on Phoenix Square, North Oak, East Hoover, Caroline, Ruth, Harvey, Lafitte, Brumfield, Webster, and Michelli;

*Three course treatment work on Wyndotte, J Rowden, Voight, St. Alexander, and Arline.

Signs will be posted on the day of construction, and Miller reminds motorists to use alternate routes, where possible, due to traffic delays during the construction period.
