Road Work Update For Week Of May 10 - 14th 2021

HAMMOND—Blue skies and sunshine mean productive days for local road crews who are taking advantage of the good weather to tackle a full schedule of construction work, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said.

Miller said overlay work is scheduled as follows for the week of May 10-14:

*Asphalt patching on Phoenix Square, Hood, Arena, Wheat Crest, Osceola, F Lea, and G Lea;

*Asphalt overlay on R Harper, Campbell, Travis, Schum, and Arena;

*Milling on Phoenix Square, Hood, E. Hoover, Ruth, Caroline, and Harvey; 

*Shoulder work on Broadwalk, Campbell, Travis, Live Oak, and F Joiner;

*Cement work on Wheat Crest, Osceola, F Lea, G Lea, Doty, B Sanders, Wyndotte, and Dummyline.

All work is weather-permitting, Miller said. Signs will be posted on the day of construction, and Miller reminds motorists to use alternate routes, where possible, due to traffic delays during the construction period.
