Road Work Update - Week of 9/23/2019

AMITE—As the summer rush draws to a close, Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced the “finishing touches” on several overlay projects will be completed next week, weather permitting:

Miller said crews are concentrating now on shoulder work along roadways that were recently paved.

“Crews will be working in the Hammond, Amite, and Kentwood areas to finalize these projects. While roads will not be closed for this work, there will be times when they are limited to one lane only. Motorists can expect delays while this work is being completed,” Miller said.

Roads that are scheduled for shoulder work during the week of Sept. 23 are listed by area:

  • Hammond Area: Firetower Road, Judge Leon Ford, Ennis Drive, Rosewood Circle, and South Hazel
  • Amite Area: Second Street, MLK, Lawson, North Bay, Virginia, and Rock Ridge
  • Kentwood Area: C.B. Temple, 5th Street, North Hayes, Israelite Church Road, and Kemp

All road work will be posted during the day of construction.
