Soil Cement Work Begins On Club Deluxe

HAMMOND—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that weather permitting soil cement work will begin this Thursday, Aug. 8, on the expanding Club Deluxe Road in Hammond.

Miller said the contractor notified his office on Tuesday that soil cement work will commence on Thursday, and assuming the weather holds, should take approximately one week to complete.

The contractor will not have to close the roadway to do this work; however, Miller said motorists are encouraged to avoid this area due to the dust generated during the soil cement process.

“This puts us one step closer to completing the Club Deluxe Road expansion project,” Miller said. 

The parish president said the expansion project could be completed as soon as December.
