AMITE—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that the parish will kick off 2020 with a special recycling day this Saturday, Jan. 4.

“Due to the various holiday closures through the New Year, our offices wanted to open our recycling centers for an extra weekend this month to help residents who are cleaning up their homes and businesses,” Miller said.

Items may be brought to either of the parish’s two recycling collection locations:

Hammond: 44512 W. Pleasant Ridge Road
Roseland: 63101 Commercial Street

Recycling items are collected from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. For a list of the materials that are accepted at these two locations, check out the recycling page on the parish website at https://tangipahoa.org/government/landfill/recycling.

In addition to this Saturday, Tangipahoa Parish offers recycling every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. until noon at the above-listed locations.
