If you received and text or email from the TangiALERT Notification System, it is not a hoax. Tangipahoa Emergency Management sent  a message to test the system that you registered for in the event a disaster should occur at buff.ly/2O8Ny1t. If you receive a text message from 89631, it is coming from Tangipahoa Parish Governemnt.  Please do not block this number or you will not receive notification.
