Tangipahoa Parish Public Transit Requests Your Help On Proposed Bus Route Changes
In order to encourage public involvement in a proposed bus route/service change that is proposed in the City of Ponchatoula for the Tangi Transit public transit system, the Parish is soliciting public comment and is making the route map and bus stop times and locations available for public review. (Fares for riding have NOT changed)
Here are a few things you should know:
- The proposed route changes are not considered major but may impact less than 20% of the routing within the City of Ponchatoula.
- The Tangipahoa Parish Government uses the third party contractor, The Voluntary Council of Aging, as its bus transit operators.
- The Parish will receive public comment during this open 7-day period for the public and interested parties.
Here is where YOU can help:
During this 7-day period, you are welcome to send letters, emails, or make phone calls to the Parish Government office in order to provide comments or ask questions concerning the routing. The route map and bus stop locations are posted below or a copy of such information is available for viewing at the front desk of Ponchatoula City Hall located at 125 W. Hickory St. in Ponchatoula.
