HAMMOND—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the Salvation Army will be distributing 1,000 free meals at Zemurray Park in Hammond this afternoon.

Miller said representatives from the Salvation Army will arrive on site between 1:30-1:45 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 31. Meals will be distributed until supplies are depleted.

Officials are asking that traffic enter Zemurray Park on Coleman Avenue. They will be routed out of the park via North Oak Street.
