TPG Road Work: Week of May 1, 2023

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Rabbit Run, located off of Lee Hughes Road in Baptist, will be closed during the work day today (Monday, May 1, 2023).

Miller said Tangipahoa Parish Road and Bridge crews will be changing out a cross drain for road maintenance. The roadway will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. so crews can complete the project.

No traffic will be allowed through the work zone. Detours will be posted.

In addition to this project, Miller said RPC crews are completing the installation of several beacons on high-traffic roadways during the week of May 1. Miller asks that motorists use caution when driving near through these work zones.

Miller reminds residents that the parish continues to compile a list of locations where utility wires are still hanging low, dangling, or even piled on the ground from Hurricane Ida. If you see a location that should be reported to TPG, please email wires@tangipahoa.org. Miller asks that the email include as much information as possible about the location, such as identifying a 9-1-1 address or taking a photo of the issue to include in the email.
