Tropical Storm Laura and Tropical Storm Marco Update - August 22, 6 AM
Here is an update concerning Tropical Storm Laura and Tropical Storm Marco.
Changes from previous update:

There are minor changes in forecast tracks for both storms, and an upward adjustment of the maximum winds of Laura. Tropical Storm Laura's track has shifted slightly west in the north Gulf of Mexico and at landfall in south central Louisiana. The maximum winds of Laura have been raised from 75 mph to 85 mph before landfall Tuesday night and Wednesday. Tropical Storm Marco's track also has shifted slightly west as the storm tracks across the northwest Gulf, but has about the same landfall area in Texas.

Tropical Storm Marco and Tropical Storm Laura could both bring impacts to southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi during the Monday through Thursday time frame next week
Confidence:
This is a very fluid situation and the forecast remains less certain than normal. Significant changes to expected impacts are possible over the next couple days.

There is higher than normal uncertainty in specific impacts due to the complexity of the forecast and how the systems may interact with each other

Heavy rain, strong/damaging winds and coastal flooding will all be possible based on the current forecast for TS Laura

Greatest impacts are currently expected to occur during the Tuesday through Thursday time frame

Impacts will be highly dependent on the eventual track and intensity of both storms
