WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of Heavy Rain/Flash Flooding

WHEN:  Today through Tuesday

WHERE:  Mainly across areas southwest of a line from Woodville to Laplace to Galliano CONFIDENCE:  We have high confidence in the occurrence of numerous showers and storms today. We have little confidence that heavy rainfall will lead to any significant impacts.

Impacts:

  • Generally, 0.5 an inch or less of rain is forecast for much of the area, however, a few areas will likely see greater than 2 inches of rainfall in a relatively short period

  • Street flooding, ponding of water in low lying areas, and some localized flash flooding will be possible
