If the current forecast holds, we remain confident that moderate to significant impacts will be experienced across portions of SE LA and S MS

There continues to be some uncertainty in the track but more so the intensity forecast. At some point, the system is expected to turn more northward and depending on when and where that occurs the expected impacts could still change significantly.
Impacts:
Storm Surge:
- 7-11 feet of inundation: Pecan Island to Port Fourchon
- 4-6 feet of inundation: Port Fourchon to Ocean Springs, including Lake Borgne
- 3-5 feet of inundation: Lake Pontchartrain and Maurepas
- 2-4 feet of inundation: Ocean Springs to the AL/FL State Line
Heavy rainfall:
- 4-8 inches will be possible generally west of I-55 and north of I-10 in SE LA and S MS.
- Less than 4 inches is forecast for the rest of SE LA and coastal MS
- Locally higher or double amounts are possible for our area, especially if any banding sets up over the area
Wind:
- Hurricane Force winds will be possible along the Atchafalaya Basin and coastal Louisiana up to Grand Isle.
- Tropical Storm force winds will be possible over the rest of SE LA and S MS eastward, which includes Baton Rouge metro, New Orleans metro, S MS Counties, Pearl River, and Hancock County.
