Project Funding from Louisiana Watershed Initiative & FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance Grants 

Tangipahoa Parish Government will submit project applications for two projects for consideration for funding through the Louisiana Watershed Initiative Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grant. The projects may also receive funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) HMGP and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grants. The two projects are as follows:

  1. Chappepeela Road Elevation Drainage project
  2. Chappepeela Creek Retention Pond

The public is encouraged to provide input, particularly low to moderate income persons, on the proposed projects for water resources infrastructure improvements and the submission of applications for funding under the Louisiana Watershed Initiative CDBG Program and FEMA’s HMGP or FMA grants. 

Citizens should submit written comments until 3:30 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021 to:
