Road Work Update For Wednesday February 24th through Friday February 26th, 2021

HAMMOND—Both lanes of Patti Road near W. University Avenue west of Hammond will be closed during the day later this week as construction crews complete rerouting sewer lines in that area.

Tangipahoa Parish Sewer District #1 Manager Jason Hood said the contractor will close the south end of Patti Road from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily from Wednesday, Feb. 24, through Friday, Feb. 26. Both lanes of Patti Road will be closed near the junction with W. University Avenue during those hours.

Hood said the contractor is rerouting existing sewer lines to the newly-constructed lift station on Patti Road. While the closure will impact a very small portion of the roadway, Hood said they do not intend to restrict residents in that area from being able to access their property.

All work is scheduled on a weather permitting basis, Hood said.
