Road Work Update For Week Of August 10-13, 2021

HAMMOND—The 2021 Tangipahoa Parish road overlay project is reaching its final weeks, and contractors are completing final details on a number of roads that have been included in this year’s program.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews continue to do shoulder work on several local roadways as the overlay project enters its final weeks. 

Miller reminds motorists to use caution traveling through work zones on the following roadways this week: East Hoover, Caroline, Ruth, Harvey, Brumfield, Webster, Michelli, Old Genessee, and North Cooper. Milling work is also expected to begin on Sibley Road off North Thibodeaux Road, Miller said.

Signs will be posted on the day of construction, and Miller reminds motorists to use alternate routes, where possible, due to traffic delays during the construction period.
