Road Work Update For Week of August 2-6, 2021

AMITE—Hollywood South continues to feature Tangipahoa locations, including a portion of LA 16 between Duncan Avenue and LA 1054, which will be closed intermittently on Tuesday, Aug. 3, for movie production.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Amite City Police will be on-site to monitor and release traffic cues, as needed, during the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day, for movie production.

Detours will be posted, and Miller reminds motorists to use caution traveling through the closure area.

In addition to the film-related road closure, Miller said road construction is scheduled as follows across Tangipahoa Parish during the week of August 2:

*Asphalt overlay on Buckles Lane, Ruffino, and North Cooper Road;

*Shoulder work on North Oak, East Hoover, Caroline, Ruth, Harvey, Brumfield, Webster, Michelli, Dykes, Old Genessee, North Cooper, Ruffino, and Wilson.

Signs will be posted on the day of construction, and Miller reminds motorists to use alternate routes, where possible, due to traffic delays during the construction period.
