FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller
(985) 748-3211

LORANGER—A portion of LA 442 will remain closed this week as DOTD crews replace a cross drain that washed out in last week’s rain event.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said DOTD announced an emergency closure of LA 442 between Puls Road and Finch Lane east of the Tangipahoa River Bridge. That closure continues through Friday, June 18, as crews continue to make improvements to the roadway. No traffic will be allowed in that area during this construction period.

In addition, Miller announced the following parish roads are scheduled for overlay work during the week of June 14-18:

*Asphalt overlay on Arena, Dummyline, and Brumfield;

*Asphalt patching on F Lea, G Lea, North Oak, Lafitte, E. Hoover, Ruth, Harvey, and Caroline;

*Milling on Old Genessee, Wilson, and Ruffino;

*Cement work on F Lea, G Lea, Doty, B Sanders, Wyndotte, Robert Vernon, Sandy Hollow, Houltonwood, and Glen Alford;

*Shoulder work on Schum, River Crest, R Harper, and Morgan Howes.

All work is weather-permitting, Miller said. Signs will be posted on the day of construction, and Miller reminds motorists to use alternate routes, where possible, due to traffic delays during the construction period.
