TPG Road Work: Week of July 10, 2023

HAMMOND—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller says the lack of rain has been a plus for the parish’s Phase 2023 road overlay program, which is making significant progress on these hot summer days.

“Our contractor indicates we are making good strides in this year’s overlay program,” Miller said, noting that some work is even slightly ahead of schedule, thanks to the weather’s cooperation.

Miller says crews are planning to work in the following areas during the week of July 10:

  • Paving: College Drive, M.C. Moore, South Magnolia, 2nd Avenue, Sun Perch, Bass Lake Trail, Iverstine;
  • Milling: Pecan Trace Drive, Pecan Allee Drive, Twin Lakes Boulevard, Kellywood Boulevard, Hollie Lane, Loyd Lane, Miller Lane, Tina Drive, Weald Way, Oak Creek Trace, Ruby Oak Court, Holly Drive, Magnolia Banks;
  • Patching: West and East Snowball Circle, Snowball Circle, Plum Street, East Nickens Road, Jolene, Schafer, Lynwood, Hickory, Twin Lakes Boulevard, Pecan Trace Drive, Pecan Allee Drive, Kellywood Boulevard, Hollie Lane, Loyd Lane, Miller Lane, Tina Drive;
  • Dressing: East 8th Street, East Alessi, Catfish Farm Road, Straughan Nursery Road, Chappapeela Road, JE Joiner, McManus Road, Pisciotta Place, Thomas Street, Nuccio Road, and McGee Street.

All work is weather-permitting. Miller asks motorists to continue to use caution in work zones.
