Overview:

Fred has re-emerged into the Atlantic Ocean near the eastern tip of Cuba and is fairly disorganized after moving across Hispaniola.

The depression is expected to skirt the northern coast of Cuba today and early tomorrow before turning more to the northwest late on Friday.

By this weekend, the system is expected to near southern Florida and approach the northern Gulf Coast east of our forecast area.

Potential Impacts:

This system poses no immediate threat to the local area, and most current model guidance suggests it should remain east of the local area.

However, due to its relatively close proximity to the local area, it should continue to be monitored.
