Tropical Depression Nine Update - 8/26/21 11 AM

Changes from the last update:

• The tropical disturbance in the central Caribbean is now Tropical Depression Nine.

Overview:

• Tropical Depression Nine will continue northwest with strengthening expected before entering the Southeastern Gulf late Friday or early Saturday.
• This system is expected to continue northwest and is currently forecast to impact portions of the northern Gulf Coast late this weekend and into early next week.

Confidence:

• There is moderate confidence with the forecast track and intensity of this system. 

Impacts

• Impacts, some significant, may be possible along portions of the northern Gulf coast.

• Depending on the eventual track path and intensity, damaging winds, storm surge, flash flooding, and isolated tornadoes will all be possible with this system.
