Vinyard Road east of Hammond will be closed to traffic starting on Monday, April 15

HAMMOND—Tangipahoa Parish officials announced today that a portion of Vinyard Road east of Hammond will be closed to traffic starting on Monday, April 15, to complete a bridge replacement project.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the closure is necessary as contractors replace the bridge over Skulls Creek east of Hammond.

The closure will impact all thru-traffic on the eastern side of Vinyard Road between River Road (LA 1064) and North Coburn Road. Detours will be posted and traffic will be re-routed during the closure period, which is expected to last approximately five months, weather permitting.
