HAMMOND—For two weeks, West Club Deluxe Road will be closed at the Arnold’s Creek bridge while crews complete concrete base work on the roadway.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said the closure is planned for July 8-29, and detours will be in place as the closure impacts all vehicular and pedestrian traffic in that portion of the roadway.
“This is a critical time in the Club Deluxe expansion project, and if the weather cooperates, the contractor estimates that this closure should take no more than about two weeks,” Miller said.
Miller said the following detours will be in place during the closure:
- Residences and businesses located on Club Deluxe west of North Oaks Boulevard can be accessed from U.S. 51/Morrison Boulevard or an alternate route
- Properties from Professional Plaza east on Club Deluxe can be accessed via the SW Railroad roundabout area.
No through truck traffic or oversized loads will be permitted on Club Deluxe during this period.
Miller reminds the public that all construction work is weather permitting and may need to be rescheduled or extended in the event of rain.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience, and we encourage everyone to please exercise caution when traveling through these work zones. Please be alert and watchful for work crews and equipment in these areas,” Miller said.
