AMITE CITY — Tangipahoa Parish Government has launched an online survey to get community input on public transit needs and priorities across the parish.
The survey is part of a transit planning study being conducted by the parish government that aims to make public transit in the parish more convenient and efficient. Results of this survey will help decision-makers determine how to best improve local transit service.
The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TangiTransit
It should only take 5-10 minutes to complete and is intended for anyone who lives in, works in, or visits Tangipahoa Parish, even people who do not ride public transit.
The survey will run through November 30, 2020.
Tangipahoa Parish Government provides deviated fixed route bus service in Hammond and Ponchatoula, in partnership with the Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging (TVCOA). The TVCOA also operates its own parish wide demand response transit service.
